The short version: we collect what you type into the form, we use it to set up your account, and we do not sell it or track you around the web.
1. The Short Version
We collect the details you type into the registration form, and the standard technical information any website receives when you visit it. We use them to set up your account and to contact you about it.
We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising pixels. The only analytics on this site is Google Analytics, and it is described in section 3.
2. What You Give Us
When you fill in the registration or contact form, we receive your first name, last name, email address and phone number, along with your consent to be contacted.
There is nothing else. We do not ask for card details, bank details or a password on this website.
3. What Is Collected Automatically
When you submit the form, our registration service receives the request along with the IP address it came from. That IP address is added by the service itself, not read or sent by your browser.
The service records it for security and to prevent the same form being submitted over and over. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
This site also uses Google Analytics, which is run by Google. It records which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, roughly where in the world you are, and the kind of device and browser you used. Google receives your IP address as part of that, and handles it under Google’s own privacy policy.
We use those figures to see which pages are worth keeping and which need rewriting. We do not use them to identify anyone, and the advertising features and data sharing options in Google Analytics are switched off.
4. What This Site Does Not Do
This site does not load advertising pixels, and it does not load social media trackers.
This site does not use an IP geolocation service. The country shown next to the phone field is guessed from your browser’s own timezone setting, inside your browser, and that guess is never sent anywhere.
This site does not set advertising cookies. The only cookies are the ones Google Analytics sets, and they are used to tell a returning visit from a new one.
5. Why We Use Your Details
To set up and administer your account, and to verify that your details are correct.
To contact you about your account and what happens next.
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations where they apply.
To keep the platform secure and to detect misuse of the registration form.
To understand which pages are read and which are not, using the analytics described above.
6. Who We Share It With
Your registration details are passed to the service that administers accounts so that your account can be created. That service handles the information on our behalf.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
7. How Long We Keep It
We keep your details for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for as long as we are required to for legal, accounting and regulatory reasons.
When that period ends, the information is deleted or made anonymous.
8. Keeping It Secure
Your details travel over an encrypted connection, and access to them is limited to the people who need it to run your account.
No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong and your information is affected, we will tell you in line with our obligations.
9. Your Choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send the request through the contact form.
You can also ask us to stop contacting you. If you do, we will still get in touch where we have to for legal or account reasons.
10. Contact
If you have a question about this policy or about your information, send it through the contact form and we will answer it.
